We spent New Years with Robert, Heidi, and Mariella at our house. We had so much fun eating snacks and watching the New Years Eve coverage on tv. As always, we celebrated the East Coast New Years because let's face it...midnight is just too late for me!

The Holidays 2009 Continued Still...

Christmas

This year Scott and I stayed in San Antonio for Christmas. I took two weeks off from work for Thanksgiving, so I needed to work in the days leading up to Christmas. We had a nice, relaxing, quiet Christmas. My dad came over for lunch and we had a non-traditional Christmas meal of steak, twice baked potatoes and more.

Crawford Christmas

Scott's family gets together every year for the annual Crawford Christmas. Crawford is his grandmother's maiden name and it is her and her sisters and their families. It is a fun time with Scott's ENTIRE family eating food and playing the seriously intense version of the white elephant exchange. We took the time to combine it with a mini Christmas with Scott's immediate family. Here are some pics...

I haven't blogged in forever. We've been so busy with the holidays. I will try to post a few pics from each of the holiday festivities. We start with Thanksgiving up in Fort Worth with Scott's family.

Cupcake Time

Tomorrow I am helping host a baby shower for two dear friends of mine, Dana and Tammy. I was enlisted to bring a cake and I decided to make cupcakes. Anyone who knows me knows that I am crazy over cupcakes! They are so cute and you don't have to share! Perfect!!! Anyways, here is the finished product. I made vanilla with basic buttercream frosting and mocha cupcakes with a coffee buttercream frosting. The mocha ones are definitely the best, so that's what's pictured. The recipe came from this AMAZING cupcake cookbook (yes, there is a cookbook full of only cupcake recipes) that my best friend and college roommate Kristin gave me as a weddding gift.

Dallas Trip

This weekend Scott and I went up to Dallas to see his sister Amy, her husband Rodger, and our nephews Matthew and Josh. We had such a good time and can't wait to go back!
